There are various wedding ceremonies practiced within most recent weddings. These short ceremonies represent unity, strength, love, blending of families and more. Here are a list of popular ceremonies practiced during modern weddings:
Unity Sand Ceremony - This is a short ceremony in which the bride and groom pour alternating sand colors into a main vase. These vases can be personalized and kept as a keepsake. Representing unity and blending of families, this ceremony can also incorporate other individuals, such as children.
Unity Candle Ceremony - This ceremony, similar to the unity sand ceremony, represents the unity of two people. The bride and groom each light a taper candle and jointly light the middle candle, the large pillar.
Love Letter Ceremony - The love letter ceremony requires the bride and groom to write each other love letters prior to the wedding. These letters are ceremoniously locked in a box with wine glasses and other symbolic items. This box is not to be opened until a predetermined date (such as an anniversary) or if the couple happen to reach a roadblock in the relationship.
Wedding Vows - This ceremony, while very common, is simply when a bride and groom recite their own vows. This is a nice moment to be video taped and kept as a keepsake down the road.
